DS, signed “Frank Sinatra,” two pages, 8.5 x 11, August 20, 1957. A scarce contract from the busiest and most successful phase of Sinatra’s film career. The film in question is the World War II drama Kings Go Forth (1958), directed by Delmer Davies and starring Sinatra, Tony Curtis, and Natalie Wood. The contract reads, in part: “The undersigned is only interested in the Venture if the first photoplay is produced with Frank Sinatra in the starring role. If at any time prior to completion of principal photography . . . Frank Sinatra dies or otherwise becomes unavailable for any reason . . . the Venture will be dissolved. . . .” Usual file and staple holes at top edge, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
