JFK jots copious notes about labor boycott cases

Unsigned notes on one 8 x 10.5 sheet of lined United States Senate letterhead, no date. JFK drafts a speech in which he answers a question on legendary boycott cases. In part: “Case: Metal Polishers Union. AF of L. The Machining Company Board ruled that subcontractor is neutral and therefore illegal for union members to refuse to do subcontract work for company against which union striking legitimately…Wine, Liquors and Distillers union…board states that a distribution is neutral and therefore refuse for employees to handle products of…manufacture whose employees are on strike is illegal.” Over eighty words in Kennedy’s hand.
