One-of-a-kind item! Vintage dark ballpoint signatures on the reverse of a 5.75 x 4 Pan American postcard depicting a Boeing 707 airliner in flight. Signed by all four Beatles (Harrison signs “George” only). These signatures were acquired during the flight which brought the Beatles to the states for their first American tour, Thursday, February 6, 1964. Accompanied by a letter of provenance originally written to Christie’s in London, which reads, in part: “The in-flight card was purchased from the Astarte Gallery. Also in the lot were two airmail letters dated early 1970s to Amanda Casson. I understand from the gallery that Casson was a radio or TV producer on board the same flight as the Beatles and acquired their autographs at the time.” Also accompanied by a photocopy of the Christie’s auction catalog page. In very good condition, with scattered creasing, a few small areas of trivial soiling, minor smudging to a few letters of McCartney’s signature. COA Roger Epperson/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
