Engraved bookplate, 6.5 x 9.25, taken from the opening pages of a book and bearing an attractive bald eagle vignette, boldly signed in black ink “Jeffer Davis,” with a smaller signature of former Secretary of War, under John Tyler, “Wm. Wilkins,” above Jefferson’s. Double matted and framed with a steel engraved seated portrait of Jefferson, to an overall size of 19 x 14.25.
