TLS as president signed “Dick Nixon,” one page, 7 x 10.5, White House letterhead, August 4, 1969. Nixon writes to a friend after the passing of her husband. In part, “I have wonderful memories of our encampments at the Bohemian Grove and I shall always be grateful for the warmth and generosity of his friendship. Even though Bert faced the greatest of tests in his own life, he never failed to make the effort to encourage others and I shall always remember his steadfast support he gave to me over the years.” In fine condition.
