Reportedly suggested that Ripper suspect Prince Albert Victor was killed from an overodse of morphine adminsitered to him under Cecil’s direction. ALS signed “Salisbury,” one page both sides, 4.5 x 7.5, India Office letterhead, December 17, 1874. Private letter to an associate in his difficult to decipher hand. In part, “I enclose the report furnished me by Mr. Davis…together with his letter. You will see that we already find…as with a proper regard to preparation in their similar cases.” In fine condition, with expected folds and some paper remnant to integral second page. R&R COA.
