For three decades Strayhorn was the composing and arranging partner of jazz great Duke Ellington. Strayhorn's compositions alone or with Ellington include "Lush Life," "Chelsea Bridge," "Johnny Come Lately," "A Flower Is a Lonesome Thing" and "Satin Doll."
