ALS signed “Joan,” one page, 8 x 10.5, no date but postmarked 1928. Letter to her friend Dan Mahoney, written the year Crawford got her big break. In part, “I didn’t know it had been so long since I had written you…I need not tell you how busy I’ve been. Forgive my negligence, won’t you dearest?…If I can find time am going to the Hospital right after this picture. God! How I dread it.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Crawford’s hand and postmarked January 13, 1928. As her career picked up steam, Crawford would appear in eight films in 1928. In fine condition, with expected folds and a couple light notations. R&R COA.
