Hitchcock Gives Permission to Use Another Story for His Upcoming Compilation

DS, two pages, 7 x 10.5, Dell Publishing letterhead, July 3, 1963. In full: “This letter records a further amendment to our contract dated October 6, 1960 for Bar the Doors! Hold Your Breath, Fear and Trembling, Suspense Stories I and Suspense Stories II. You hereby give permission to substitute Never Kill for Love by C. B. Gilford for Leiningen Versus the Ants by Carl Stephenson in Suspense Stories I (now called Alfred Hitchcock Presents: 14 Suspense Stories to Play Russian Roulette By). Please sign the enclosed copy of this letter to indicate your agreement and return it to us for our files.” Signed as acceptance in fountain pen. Affixed, by staple, to another letter further explaining the need for the change. In fine condition, with two punch holes to top border. PSA/DNA COA and R&R COA.
