Grover Cleveland document relating to the World’s Colombian Exposition

DS as president, one page, 22 x 19, May 26, 1893. President Cleveland appoints George C. Waddell to be a Commissioner from the Arizona Territory under the Act of Congress entitled “An act to provide for celebrating the 400th anniversary of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus, by holding an international exhibition of arts, industries, manufacturers, and the products of the soil, mine, and sea, in the city of Chicago, in the State of Illinois. This act provided for the establishment of the World's Colombian Commission. Signed at the bottom in black ink by Cleveland and countersigned by his Secretary of State. In very good condition, with even overall toning, moderate storage folds, one through last name of signature, intact seal and a small area of paper loss to top edge. R&R COA.
