Lawman best remembered as the killer of notorious gunfighter Billy the Kid on July 14, 1881. Ironically, Garrett and Bonney had once been friends before they ended up on opposite sides of the law. Stock certificate issued to Garrett for two hundred shares in the Alabama Gold and Copper Mining Company, signed at the bottom by Garrett as Secretary and again on the reverse “P. F. Garrett.” Beautifully cloth matted and framed by the Gallery of History, with a photo of Garrett and a biographical plaque, to an overall size of 32.5 x 16.5.
