DS, signed “James K. Polk for the def’t,” one page both sides, 15 x 12.5, December 31, 1824. Legal document, written almost entirely in Polk’s hand, concerning the case of John Ruthon against Isaac Monely and Seth Hackney. Gilt matted and framed, so both sides are visible, with a small portrait of Polk, to an overall size of 25 x 18.25.
