In part, “As it was me, who had the ‘Diary’ published, I must have read it!!!…I never saw the movie nor the play…Anne would be now 40 years old. As the ‘Diary’ has been published in 45 different countries resp. languages the world learnt [sic] a lot from it, but not - as I hope - hatred, but love and understanding. Anne’s Diary is a human document and not a description of Nazi terror and sadism.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and an enclosed pamphlet mentioned in the letter.
