Signed invitation to Lindbergh’s Distinguished Flying Cross ceremony

Original invitation to attend the reception and decoration by President Calvin Coolidge of Captain Charles Lindbergh, 7 x 4.75, held on the grounds of the Washington Monument on June 11, 1927. Nicely signed at the top left in fountain pen “Charles A. Lindbergh.” The medal he received from Coolidge was the Distinguished Flying Cross and was the first one ever awarded and was presented to him less than three weeks after his historic New York to Paris flight. Accompanied by an acceptance card addressed to the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives and the original mailing envelope from the Lindbergh Reception Committee. In fine condition, with a small unobtrusive date notation to lower right cWoz orner of invitation. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
