TLS signed “C. A. Lindbergh,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, September 22, 1930. Letter to Speaker of the House Nicholas Longworth, who was married to Theodore Roosevelt’s daughter Alice. In part, “Thank you very much for your kind invitation to attend the dedication of the Lunken Airport…Mrs. Lindbergh and I regret sincerely that engagements which we cannot break make it impossible for us to be in Cincinnati on that date.” Expected mailing folds and some scattered light creasing, otherwise fine condition.
