In full, “I desire to express my high appreciation of the artistic excellence of the Johnson etching of Lincoln so kindly forwarded by you. There is no picture in my library I value more.” Accompanied by a pre-printed card sent on behalf of Mrs. McKinley after her husband’s passing and a form letter from the American Embassy in London, sent after McKinley’s passing as well.
