Garry & Burbank I by leave to recommend to the Comy. Genl. To fill the vacancy occasioned by the transfer of Lt. K. to St. Louis, as either of those gentlemen I have no doubt will give entire satisfaction in discharge of the duties appertaining to said appointment.” Addressed and docketed in another hand on the reverse.
