Blackfoot Indian chief who claimed to be the model for the Indian on the front of the Buffalo Nickel. He saw the nickel for the first time when he got one from a tourist in Glacier National Park and erroneously spent the last twenty years of his life believing that the image on the front was his. Original signed ink sketch of Two Gun White Calf in profile along with a small buffalo nickel on an off-white 8 x 10 card, signed with his pictograph signature: two rifles and a calf. Sketch is signed by the artist 'Hoff,' adding 'From the buffalo nickel Indian in person 10-17-28.' In fine condition, with light uniform overall toning from previous display and a missing lower right corner tip, easily matted out. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
