Jim Henson Signed Letter on Muppets Letterhead

American filmmaker, producer and creator of The Muppets, and arguably the most important puppeteer in modern history. He died at the age of 53 after a brief illness. TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Muppets, Inc., 303 East 53rd Street, New York 22 letterhead, August 13, 1963. In part: 'Many thanks for your very nice letter and for letting us see the extremely clever painting of Taminella Grinderfall. My partners and I really got a great kick out of the painting, and even Tammy blushed and smiled at your flattering portrait of her. It is our pleasure to autograph it and return it to you.' In fine condition, with tack holes at corners, a couple of areas of trivial soiling, a few diagonal creasing, with one crease touching a letter of the signature. RRAuction COA.
