Guestbook from the Fischerhaus Restaurant in Vienna, Austria. Nicely leather bound guestbook, bears a metal plaque on the front reading “Urrsere geste un Fischerhaus.” The pages are signed by a veritable who’s who in the fields of entertainment, music, sports and politics. Signatures all dated from the 1960’s through the 1980’s, with some signing on a single page, others sharing pages with other visitors. Several highlights of the book include: a very nice signed self portrait profile sketch of Alfred Hitchcock, a full page ink sketch of a woman’s face by Jean Marais, a single page signature and sentiment from Natalie Wood, a single page signature and sentiment from Rudolf Nuryev, a full page signature and sentiment from Jerry Lewis from July, 1967, a full page signed by cast members of Mayerling, including Omar Sharif and Catherine Deneueve, a signature from Rostropovitch from 1972, very nice signature and sentiment from Elizabeth Taylor reading “Thank you: It was a lovely afternoon and the food is superb! Elizabeth Taylor Summer of ‘76,” a full page ballpoint signature “Thank you for a delicious dinner. And so say all of us, Peter Sellers, Aug. 1978,” a German sentiment and signature from Arnold Schwarzenegger, who adds his Mr. Olympia and Universe titles and a beautiful signature “Grace de Monaco.” Other notables in the guestbook include: Ursula Andress, Horst Bucholz, Alain Delon, Kirk Douglas and other cast members from Spartacus, Rex Harrison, Charlton Heston, Oscar Homolka, Jack Lemmon, Robert Mitchum, Robert Taylor, Annabelle Bernard, Anto Karras, Al “Fats” Edwards, Vera Maxwell, Elize Botha, Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, Prince Hassan of Morocco, Kurt Waldheim and King Hussein of Jordan.
