Description

Patsy Cline photo signed twice

Country music star who achieved her first success with the 1957 release of Walkin' After Midnight. Cline signed with the Decca label in 1959 and became a permanent member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1960. The following year, Cline recorded the hit single I Fall to Pieces, followed by the Willie Nelson composition Crazy and She's Got You, which all enjoyed similar crossover success. On March 5, 1963, Cline's budding career was tragically cut short when she was killed in a plane crash while returning to Nashville from Kansas City; she was 30 years old. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Cline in a dark top with a polka dot collar, signed in fountain pen, 'Your friend, Patsy Cline 'Decca.'' Also signed and inscribed on the reverse in pencil, 'To Roger, Your friend, Patsy Cline.' Some scattered light surface creases and dings, light impressions from signature on reverse, collector's notes in bottom border and a couple trivial dings, otherwise fine condition. COA Roger Epperson/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
