Description

TLS, one page, 4.5 x 7.25, personal letterhead, August 14, 1912. Wilson sends his sincere apologies for a tardy reply. In part, 'Your letter...to Mrs. Wilson arrived in due course in the mail and if it had been handed to her, she would have replied to it at once. I feel I must now myself reply to it, because through my own oversight, it was colored up in a pile of letters, the replies to which I was obliged, because of pressure of business, to postpone. The apology should come therefore not from her but from myself.' In fine condition, with date and letterhead have been clipped and applied to page and light overall toning. RRAuction COA.
