Description

Controversial US vice-president, who killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel in 1804. ALS signed 'A. B.,' one page, 7.75 x 10, June 25, 1821. Letter to a client. In part, 'All is darkness; doubt and uncertainty as to my movements - I have this day made a written proposition to Messr. Walton and Hoffman...on which I agree to admit anything which Mr. Walton shall say he expected to be able to prove - I think this will be agreed to, if so, the record, which has just been obtained, should be sent together with the Papers in our Ejectments.' Text a bit faded, but completely legible, several notations to integral address panel and expected folds, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA.
