TLS signed 'Wm. H. Taft,' one page, 8 x 10.5, Supreme Court letterhead, March 10, 1927. Letter to a North Carolina judge. In part, 'I am going to keep out of the North Carolina Judgeship matter. I am appealed to by Miss Linney on the ground that Linney is the one man of the proposed candidates who was loyal to me during the Roosevelt controversy in 1912.' In fine condition, with a staple hole to top left, a light shade of toning and expected folds. RRAuction COA.
