ALS, one page both sides, 4.25 x 7, March 12, 1846. Letter written shortly after his resignation as editor of the Daily News. In part, 'I have no connextion [sic] with...the current management of the Daily News...I have not offended at your suggestions in reference to the 'Voices From the Crowd' because the title is, I conceive, the property of the gentleman who writes the pieces.'
