TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, February 16, 1956. Letter to Dean Hickey concerning two researchers he is funding. In part, 'I am enclosing the second check for the Schwartz project under the Charles H. Land fund, for 500. I am under the impression that Dr. Schwartz is carrying on some extraordinarily fine research; the results to date are most encouraging. In addition to the factual data being accumulated, I think the biography is likely to be outstanding. I talked to Dr. Proskauer, last night, in regard to some data he wishes to get from my grandfather's papers, which are being sorted from old family records at Yale...Dr. Proskauer is interested in accounts and dental fees in past generations, and there seem to be a number of such items among my grandfather's records...Incidentally, it seems to me with both Dr. Proskauer and Dr. Schwartz, most of their work consists in the devotion of their own time to the projects...I suggest that it would be in order to devote the largest part of the Charles H. Land fun to direct assistance to them.' In fine condition, with a small office stamp to lower left corner. COA John Reznikoff/University Archives and RRAuction COA.
