DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 9.5, May 11, 1829. Jackson grants Jacob T. Swafford eighty acres of land in Vandalia, Illinois. Countersigned by George Graham as commissioner of the general land office. In very good condition, with expected folds, one through first letter of Jackson's signature, several small holes and areas of paper loss, minor edge wear and an intact but worn seal. All writing, including the signature, is somewhat light but readable. Jackson was the last president to routinely sign these land grants.
