American comedian and filmmaker (1893-1940) best known for his work in Hal Roach short film comedies. Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 promotional photo of Chase wearing a boater hat in profile, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Bill Kelly, Best wishes from, Charley Chase.” Lower sections bears a white preprinted signature. In very fine condition.
