Description
Revolutionary War-dated manuscript DS, signed “O. Ellsworth,” one page, 8.25 x 6.5, June 10, 1776. Pay order issued to Treasurer John Lawrence, in part: "Pay Elias Bliss, or order, Fifty nine pounds fifteen shillings, & one penny for purchase of premium on 171 3/4 lbs Salt Petre…made in & sold to this Colony & charge the Colony." Signed at the conclusion by Oliver Ellsworth. In fine condition. Accompanied by a color engraving bearing a preprinted signature.
