#616 - Beatles Signed Display
Estimate: $2,500+
Fabulous Beatles display with a multi-signed 1963 fan club promo card and a Lennon signature from St. Moritz, where he composed 'Norwegian Wood'
Two items: a vintage circa 1963 official Beatles Fan Club promo card featuring the iconic Dezo Hoffman portrait of the band in their classic collarless suits, signed and inscribed on the front in blue ballpoint, "To Judy, love from George Harrison, xxx," "Paul McCartney," and "Ringo Starr," with George also signing for John Lennon, and the reverse signed again by Harrison, "Thanks for your letter, George H."; and a ballpoint signature, "John Lennon,” on an off-white 3 x 2 card. Matted and framed together with a John Lennon keychain to an overall size of 12.5 x 19; the frame's backing has a window for viewing the reverse of the signed promo card. In overall very good to fine condition, with a central vertical fold to the promo card (reinforced with old, toned tape on the reverse), and a small stain in the left margin of the Lennon-signed card. The promo card is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from REAL (also certifying a Pete Best drumhead, no longer present), and the Lennon signature is accompanied by certificates of authenticity from REAL and Tracks, as well as a provenance note stating that it was signed in St. Moritz, where Lennon famously composed 'Norwegian Wood.'
