ALS signed “John Kennedy,” one page on a 6.25 x 4.25 personal stationery card, no date but postmarked December 20, 1995. Handwritten letter to Alma Powell, the wife of Colin Powell. In full: "Thank you for your kind note. I don't imagine journalists are supposed to say this but if you're trying to get back to 'real life'—I don't blame you a bit. Happy Holidays and to a well deserved peace (and quiet) in the New Year." In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in another hand but with Kennedy's own handwritten surname above the return address on the flap.
