ALS signed “G.R.,” one page, 7.25 x 9.25, August 20, 1821. Letter to a friend, headed "Private," evidently concerning the printing and distribution of handbills for propaganda purposes. In part: "I have just this moment received the extraordinary Gazette, respecting the Proceedings of Tenorman; as it does not appear to me, to be in the least likely to answer the proposed object…it has occurred to me, that if the inclosed Notice, be adopted, by Hand Bill or in any other public way, it will be much more certain of assuring the proposed object. Supposed that two or three hundred be struck off, & sent to the different Clubs &c &c &c…P.S. I think this most important." In fine condition.
