Vintage pencil signature and inscription, "To Marilyn, from, Elvis Presley" on an off-white 8.5 x 11 sheet, which served as the script cover for an episode of The Steve Allen Show that aired on July 1, 1956. The sheet is also signed and inscribed to "Marilyn," by the show's three other guests: Andy Griffith, Gene Rayburn, and Imogene Coca. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, and paper loss to one corner.
Presley's first appearance on Steve Allen's program was a ratings bonanza, despite the fact that he had received unwelcome publicity for previous television shows on which his performances were considered risqué. Capitalizing on that publicity, Allen toned down Presley's performance by having him sing 'Hound Dog' in white tie and tails to an actual Basset Hound. Coca, Griffith, and Rayburn also participated in the same episode.
