Description

Great vintage glossy 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of the revered aviator during a visit to Belize, signed in fountain pen, "C. A. Lindbergh." Reverse bears the credit stamp of Sebastian G. Coye of Belize. In very good to fine condition, with light surface scuffing, and an impression to the upper right corner from a scribble on the reverse. Lindbergh flew to Belize in the Spirit of St. Louis in December 1927—seven months after his historic transatlantic flight—during a brief goodwill tour of Central America. In 1929, he would make the inaugural Pan American airmail flight to Belize.
