Uncommon full ink signature, "George Washington,” on an off-white 2 x .75 slip clipped from the body of a land indenture dated March 22, 1769. Matted and framed with a portrait to an overall size of 12 x 14. In very good to fine condition, with a repaired split between the "g" and the "t" in the surname. Accompanied by a photocopy of the large document from which this was removed, an indenture in which Washington purchased land in Frederick County, Virginia, from William Peterson. Washington's autograph using his full name is fairly scarce, as he typically signed with an initial rather than his complete first name.
