Benjamin Harrison

Two items: a Fletcher & Sharpes Bank check, 7.75 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Harrison, “Benj. Harrison,” payable to Kangan Smith for $8.75, September 8, 1879; and an ANS signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 4.75 x 7.75, March 24, 1896, in which Harrison accepts an American Encyclopedic Dictionary as a gift. In overall fine condition, with two vertical folds (one passing through a single letter of the signature), staples holes, and repaired central cancellation cuts to the check, and slight soiling and a smudge to a single letter of the writing to the ANS. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
