Benjamin Harrison and John Wanamaker

Partly-printed DS as president, signed "Benj. Harrison," one page, 17 x 14, February 15, 1890. An appointment for James P. Jones as postmaster in Batesville, Arkansas. Countersigned by John Wanamaker, prominent merchant who founded the Wanamaker's chain and is considered the father of modern advertising. In very good condition with mild wrinkling and creasing, scattered staining, and two small holes at the top border. The gold foil seal and red ribbons are worn but intact. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
