Document signed as a Gloucester selectman listing six Constables and their payments to the soldiers tax for the first and second half of 1781. Framed with a small portrait and caption, to an overall size of 14.75 x 18.25. Moderate horizontal folds, scattered light toning, mild spreading of ink to portions of text, and some slight haloing to Ellery’s signature, not detracting from legibility, otherwise fine condition.
