Description

Göring appoints an officer to handle complaints of the masses

TLS in German, signed 'Goring,' one page both sides, 8 x 10, official letterhead, November 30, 1939. Letter to party member Bouhler appointing him to handle complaints and problems of the people. In part, 'As Chief of the Chancellery you have received many complaints and suggestions...Therefore, you have a clear picture of the general mood of the people and the effects of regulations on the broad masses. Because of the war, it is necessary for me to give you the job of dealing with those complaints and suggestions. Therefore, I ask you to handle the complaints that I will send you...I suggest that you try to resolve the problems in the special cases, after consulting the proper authorities, if necessary.' In fine condition, with large bold signature, a bit of light soiling and paperclip impressions and an office stamp to top right. COA John Reznikoff/University Archives and RRAuction COA.
