TDK SA-C60 cassette tape belonging to Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious, who writes on the A-side label in blue ballpoint, "Sid's Reggea." In fine condition, with the handwriting quite light, but legible. During the band’s infamous tour of the southern United States in 1978, Vicious relied heavily on his cassette player and self-made reggae mix-tape, this 60-minute TDK containing music by an assortment of reggae legends from the mid-1970s. When the tour was finished, Vicious gave the tape to his tour manager and friend, Noel Monk, from whose personal collection this cassette derives; accompanied by a letter of provenance from Monk. Monk was the Sex Pistols tour manager in January of 1978, and was the author of the highly acclaimed book 12 Days on the Road. Additionally, Monk also served as the manager for Van Halen, and as a tour manager for many notable bands, including the Rolling Stones.
