Oscar-winning special effects artist (born 1947) who is a cofounder of Industrial Light & Magic and is best known as the special effects lead on the original Star Wars. Four items: an original felt tip sketch by Star Wars special effects pioneer John Dykstra on a white 8 x 5 sheet, which shows a soaring Rebel Alliance X-wing starfighter, signed by Dykstra; and a set of three white 5 x 3 sheets, each signed in black felt tip by Dykstra, who adds small Star Wars sketches to each: the droid R2-D2, an Imperial Fleet Tie fighter, and a Rebel Alliance X-wing starfighter. In overall fine condition, with light creasing to the larger sheet.
