DS, signed “Judy Garland,” one page, 8.5 x 11, October 10, 1944. A rider to an agency contract between the actress and Phil Berg and Bert Allenberg. In part: “The execution by Judy Garland of a new contract of employment with Loew’s Inc. which is substituted for or replaces the existing contract of employment…Judy Garland shall pay to Phil Berg-Bert Allenberg, Inc. commissions at the rate of 10% on moneys or compensation received by Judy Garland.” Punch and staple holes to top edge, scattered light toning and soiling, and scattered light creasing with a diagonal crease crossing through her last name, otherwise fine condition. On the day Judy signed this document, Garland had a day off from filming The Clock. The following month, one of her most successful MGM films—Meet Me in St. Louis—would be released.
