Signer of the Declaration of Independence from New Jersey (1713–1779). Engraved one shilling New Jersey note, printed by Isaac Collins of Burlington, 3.75 x 2, dated March 25, 1776, signed in ink by Hart and two others. Reverse bears a tobacco leaf and bears a strong deterrent on the reverse side: “To counterfeit is Death.” Moderate toning and soiling, Hart’s signature light, but legible, central vertical fold, and scattered light creasing, otherwise very good condition.
