Description

The Jackson 5 sign for Joe Jackson’s Peacock Music

Uncommon DS, one page both sides, 8.5 x 14, May 27, 1977. Standard Songwriter’s Contract between Michael, Tariano, Sigmund, Marlon, and Steven Jackson with Peacock Music Publishing Company for the rights to the song “Do What You Want” with the publishing company paying the five songwriters royalties of 20% each. Signed at the conclusion in ballpoint by “Joseph W. Jackson” as publisher, and owner of Peacock Music, and by Michael, “Steven Randall Jackson,” “Tariano A. Jackson” (Tito), “Sigmund Jackie Jackson,” and “Marlon Jackson.” It’s likely that “Do What You Want” is the song of a similar name, “Do What You Wanna,” that was featured on the Jackson 5’s album Goin’ Places. In fine condition. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RRAuction COA.
