Princess of Great Britain and Ireland (1768–1840) and daughter of George III. LS signed “Augusta,” one page, 4.5 x 7, June 3, 1801. Augusta writes to “My dearest Augustus.” In part: “Mary mentioned to me this morning what you wished respecting A—’s son. I have written Miss W—, and will you have the goodness to send her the enclosed….” In good condition, with soiling (touching signature), light staining, edge tear touching a few words, and small chip.
