In part: “My lecture on the Monroe Doctrine was published in full in the Independent, and I have pleasure in sending you, under separate cover, a copy of it. The addresses which you sent me were of much assistance to me in the preparation of my paper, and I thank you cordially for your courtesy in this matter. I shall be very glad to receive the next issue of the Journal of Race Development which you say will contain these papers in printed form.” A touch of mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition.
