Haunting Göring military portrait

German politician who began his career as an ace in WW I, rose to become Hitler’s right-hand man and head of the Luftwaffe. He was finally captured and committed suicide on the eve of his execution. Vintage matte-finish 6.5 x 8.5 photo of Göring in his military overcoat and field helmet, boldly signed in fountain pen, “Hermann Göring, Kommander der S. A., N. S. D. A. P.” In very good condition, with silvering to edges, some scattered light surface marks, lightly trimmed edges, crease to lower right and a clear and bold signature.
