Satin-finish 8 x 10 Roswell Records / Capitol Records publicity photo of the Foo Fighters from 1996, signed in black felt tip by all four original members: Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, William Goldsmith, and David Grohl, who adds "Take me to your leader," with a small sketch of an alien across his face, and “Many thanks for everything." In fine condition. This lineup would only work together on one album, The Colour and the Shape, which was effectively the official debut of the Foo Fighters as a band; their eponymous 1995 debut album was primarily recorded by Grohl as a demo. This photo beautifully captures the lighthearted nature of Grohl along with the short-lived original lineup—full and complete signatures of Smear and Mendel are quite rare.
