Politician and sportsman (1841-1908) who ruled as governor general of Canada from 1888 to 1893, remembered as the namesake of the Stanley Cup. He was one of the original inductees into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Ink signature, "Stanley of Preston,” on an off-white 5.25 x 3.5 card. In very good to fine condition, with light staining to the right corners from old mounting residue on the reverse.
