Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Rhode Island (1727-1820). Third-person ADS, signed within the text, “William Ellery,” one page, 3.75 x 1.25, November 13, 1767. A short handwritten receipt by Ellery, in full: "Received (Newport Nov. 13th 1767) of William Ellery Eighty four Pounds Old Tenor in full of all accounts, Bartholomew Phisiy." In fine condition.
